We all look to the runways of fashion week to decipher women’s latest clothing trends. For next season, the designers showcased some fabulously modest ideas for us to look forward to. From Prada to Dolce and Alexander Wang to MaxMara, the catwalks were awash with inspiration for every modest dresser.
As the modest look continues to take over the fashion world, our Modisme stylists spotted some particularly stunning modest outfits that we just had to highlight.
Whether it’s super high necklines, sweeping hems or exaggeratedly fluted, long sleeves, or all of the above, there are some key ideas to get us inspired for the oncoming warmer weather.
Our stylists spotted and loved this silk shirt and trouser combination from Victoria Beckham. The ruffle high-neck gives us all sorts of Edwardian vibes, but the soft, flowing fabric keep it super feminine. Styled with extra-long wide leg trousers, this look could go straight from the office to after-work drinks. The colour palette is also great for this period between winter and spring; it’s warm and rich but remains fresh, in anticipation of the new season.

Through all the mystical feathers and fringing on the Nina Ricci runway, we couldn’t help but spy this stunning layered look in perfectly on-trend mint green. We love that the roll neck underneath is white lace, keeping the look completely spring appropriate, but highlighting a fabulous way to create a modest look from an otherwise plunging maxi skirts online.

Trench on trench on trench. This Celine look instantly caught our eye, here at Modisme. With a utility style jumpsuit as a base, this look takes the double-jacket trend to the next level. Using three shades of the palette, from beige to camel, this is layering to a tee. Flawlessly on trend, yet absolutely timeless, this is a classic look for every modest dresser to try out.

Through the dramatic retro prints, the Warhol imagery and the flash of cowboy-esque leather, we spotted this oh-so-chic, colour blocked ensemble at Versace. Midi skirts will be huge for spring, but this feminine version sits slightly longer with a little more shape to the hem, an ideal modest style. Styled here with tights and sandals, it would team up beautifully with a knee-high boot and the statement jacket, with sharply pointed shoulders, finishes the look with a powerful sense of purpose.
