London Modest Fashion Week: Who’s Going To Be There
Feb 11 2018Eveningby Kate Russell
After last year’s global successes for Modest Fashion Week in London, Dubai and Istanbul, next week see’s the return of the fashion event in the UK’s capital. On the 17th and 18th of this month, designers, influencers and modest fashion business entrepreneurs from around the globe will gather to find out what is next for modest fashion trends this year.
London Modest Fashion Week (LMFW) was founded by Haute-Elan.com, one of the leading global modest fashion stores. With the aim to both launch new fashion talent into the modest industry and give platform to established modest designers, the highly anticipated event hopes to “pave the way for the modest fashion industry’s continued exponential growth”.
Held, once again, at the famous Saatchi Gallery in central London, over 40 brands from around the world will showcase their new collections on the exclusive runway. With over 100 members of global press attending the 2017 LMFW, this year is set to break records in terms of turnout. Last year, attendees reporting on the event included Vogue, Stylist, Marie Claire and Emirates Woman, to name but a few.
Influencers, fashion bloggers and social media stars alike will be uniting under one roof to analyse and be inspired by the future of the modest industry. Wildly successful Muslim fashion blogger, Dina Tokio, who praised the event last year is expected to attend, alongside peers, such as Muslim fashion model, Mariah Idrissi.

Beginning on Saturday the 17th February, the 2-day event will kick off with an opening ceremony, hosted by Haute-Elan and the events sponsor, Tresemme. The opening show will feature, The Best of Modest Fashion, showcasing some of the biggest brands in the industry right now.
Several panels and discussions will also take place throughout the Saturday and for the first time, LMFW will bring a modest menswear fashion show, featuring brands such as, Jubbas, Sunna Style and Toby by Hatem Al Akeel. Proving that the men have not been forgotten in terms of modest fashion, we are due to see traditional pieces, such as khandoras and shemaghs styled into contemporary, fashion-forward looks.
Sunday features more ground-breaking talks from the people at the forefront of the industry and fashion shows including modest active wear and athleisure, as well as emerging talent. Discussions will include hot topics, such as Women Entrepreneurs of Faith and The Role of Influencers in Young Women’s Lives. Finishing off the event, the closing ceremony will once again present some of the biggest named designers in the modest business.
Designers to Watch Out For
